1. Product Information +

What are ShinyHome peel and stick tiles?

ShinyHome peel and stick tiles are lightweight decorative wall tiles designed for easy DIY home makeovers. They help you refresh kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, RVs, and accent walls without grout, mortar, or traditional renovation work.

Are ShinyHome tiles real ceramic tiles?

No. ShinyHome tiles are not traditional ceramic tiles. They are self-adhesive decorative wall tiles made to create a tile-inspired look with easier installation and less mess. Our 3D gel tiles are designed with a raised resin surface that adds shine, depth, and a dimensional effect, while remaining lighter and easier to handle than ceramic tiles.

What is the difference between 3D gel tiles and wall panels?

Our 3D gel tiles are designed with a glossy resin surface that gives the pattern a soft dimensional look and makes the surface easy to wipe clean.

Our wall panels are designed to bring stronger texture and material expression to your space. Depending on the style, they may feature metallic, brushed, mosaic, stone-look, or geometric finishes.

Do I need grout, glue, or special tools?

No grout is needed. Most installations only require simple household tools, such as a ruler, pencil, level, scissors, or a utility knife. The tiles come with a self-adhesive backing, so there is no need for mortar, cement, or traditional tile adhesive.

2. Installation & Preparation +

How should I prepare the wall before installation?

For best results, apply ShinyHome tiles to a surface that is smooth, flat, clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, moisture, and peeling paint.

Surface preparation is one of the most important steps. If the wall is dusty, oily, textured, or uneven, the adhesive may not bond properly and the tiles may lift over time.

How do I install ShinyHome tiles?

Clean and dry the wall completely. Measure the area and mark a straight guideline. Cut the tile if needed. Peel off the backing paper. Align the tile carefully and press it firmly onto the wall. Continue applying the next sheet, overlapping or aligning the edges as instructed for your product style. Trim any extra material around outlets, corners, or edges.

For the best result, take your time with the first tile. A straight first row makes the whole installation cleaner.

Can I reposition the tiles during installation?

You may carefully adjust the tile before applying firm pressure. Once the adhesive has been firmly pressed onto the wall, removing and repositioning the tile may weaken the adhesive or damage the wall surface, especially on painted walls.

Can I cut the tiles?

Yes. Most ShinyHome peel and stick tiles can be cut with scissors or a utility knife. For cleaner edges, measure carefully, mark your cutting line, and cut slowly on a flat surface. Always be careful when using sharp tools.

How do I keep the tiles aligned?

We recommend drawing a light horizontal guideline with a level before installing the first row. Start from a clean straight edge and check alignment as you go. Do not rely only on the countertop or wall corner, as they may not be perfectly level.

3. Suitable Surfaces +

What surfaces can I apply ShinyHome tiles to?

ShinyHome tiles work best on smooth, clean, dry, and flat indoor surfaces, such as smooth painted walls, existing ceramic or glass tiles, glass, metal, smooth wood panels, and smooth acrylic or plastic surfaces.

The smoother and cleaner the surface, the better the adhesion.

Can I install them over existing ceramic tiles?

Yes. Existing ceramic or glass tiles are usually suitable surfaces, as long as they are smooth, clean, dry, and free from oil or dust. If the existing grout lines are very deep or wide, they may affect the final appearance or create slight unevenness after installation.

Can I apply them to painted walls?

Yes, but please be careful. Our adhesive is designed for long-lasting hold. When removed, it may peel paint or damage painted surfaces, especially if the paint is old, weak, peeling, or not fully cured.

For freshly painted walls, we recommend waiting until the paint is fully cured before installation.

Can I apply them to textured walls?

We do not recommend applying ShinyHome tiles to textured, rough, dusty, uneven, peeling, or porous surfaces. Uneven surfaces reduce contact between the adhesive and the wall, which may lead to lifting, air gaps, bubbles, or poor adhesion over time.

Can I use them in a rental home?

ShinyHome tiles can be a practical way to refresh a rental space, but removal results depend on the wall surface. Because the adhesive is strong, it may damage paint or delicate surfaces when removed. If you are renting, we recommend testing a small hidden area first or checking with your landlord before installation.

4. Kitchen, Bathroom & Heat +

Can I use ShinyHome tiles in the kitchen?

Yes. ShinyHome tiles are suitable for kitchen backsplashes and everyday splash areas. They are easy to wipe clean and help refresh your kitchen without traditional tile work.

However, they should not be installed in direct contact with open flames or extremely high heat sources.

Are ShinyHome tiles heat-resistant?

Yes. ShinyHome peel and stick tiles are heat-resistant for normal kitchen backsplash use, but they are not fireproof.

Please do not install the tiles in direct contact with open flames, gas burners, or extremely high heat sources. For safer use, keep the tiles at least 15 cm / 6 in away from the center of the flame or direct heat source.

Can I install them behind a stove or gas cooktop?

They may be used near a stove area if there is enough distance from direct heat and flame. For gas cooktops, avoid placing the tiles where flames or high heat can directly touch the surface.

Heat resistance does not mean fireproof protection. Keep the tiles at least 15 cm / 6 in away from the center of the flame or direct heat source.

Can I use them in the bathroom?

Yes. ShinyHome tiles can be used in bathrooms, laundry rooms, and splash areas when installed on smooth, clean, and dry surfaces. For better performance, press all edges firmly and avoid leaving gaps where water can enter.

Can I use them inside a shower?

We do not recommend installing them in areas with constant direct water exposure, such as inside a shower or bathtub. They are better suited for bathroom walls, vanity backsplashes, laundry rooms, and splash areas where they are not continuously soaked.

Are they waterproof?

The surface is water-resistant and easy to wipe clean. However, proper installation is important. Water should not be allowed to enter from loose edges, gaps, or poorly attached areas.

How do I clean the tiles?

Clean the surface with a soft cloth or sponge using water or a mild cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, strong acidic cleaners, or sharp scraping tools, as they may damage the surface finish.

5. Orders, Color & Quantity +

How do I know how many tiles I need?

Measure the width and height of your project area to calculate the total coverage. We recommend ordering 5–10% extra for cutting, corners, pattern matching, installation mistakes, or future replacement.

Will the color look exactly like the photos?

We do our best to show product colors accurately. However, colors may vary slightly due to lighting, screen settings, camera conditions, room environment, and production batches. If color matching is very important, we recommend ordering a sample first when available.

Can products from different batches have color differences?

Yes, slight color differences may occur between production batches. For the best result, we recommend ordering enough quantity for your full project at one time.

Can I order samples before buying a full set?

If samples are available, we recommend ordering samples first. Samples can help you check the real color, finish, texture, and light reflection in your own space before starting a larger project.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. If the order has not been processed or shipped, we will do our best to help. Once an order has been shipped, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.

6. Returns & Support +

Can I return the product if I change my mind?

Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for detailed return conditions. In general, products should be unused, uninstalled, uncut, and in their original packaging to be eligible for return.

Can I return tiles after they have been installed?

Installed, used, cut, or damaged products are usually not eligible for return unless there is a confirmed product quality issue. Before installation, please check the color, quantity, size, and style carefully.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us with your order number and clear photos of the damaged product and packaging. We will review the issue and help provide a suitable solution.

What if the tiles do not stick well?

Adhesion issues are often related to the wall surface condition. Please make sure the surface is smooth, clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, peeling paint, or texture.

If you need help, send us photos of the wall surface and installed tiles so we can better understand the issue.

7. Wall Panels +

What are ShinyHome wall panels?

ShinyHome wall panels are decorative wall covering products designed to add texture, depth, and style to interior spaces. Depending on the collection, they may feature metallic, brushed, mosaic, stone-look, or dimensional finishes.

Are wall panels suitable for DIY installation?

Yes. Our wall panels are designed to make home refresh projects easier and more accessible. Always follow the installation instructions and prepare the surface properly before applying.

Where can I use wall panels?

Wall panels can be used for kitchen backsplashes, bathroom accent walls, laundry rooms, RV interiors, entryway walls, coffee corners, and selected commercial spaces.

Can wall panels be used on floors?

No. ShinyHome wall panels and peel and stick wall tiles are designed for walls and decorative vertical surfaces. We do not recommend using them on floors.
