3D STICK-ON TILES INSTALLATION
Subway Tile Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install your subway peel and stick tiles with a clean, properly aligned finish.
This shape requires trimming and careful alignment, but it is still manageable for most DIY projects.
Clean the Surface
Wipe the wall clean before installation. Make sure the surface is dry, smooth, and free from dust, oil, or loose paint.
Measure and Mark
Use a level and pencil to mark a straight guide line on the wall. This helps keep each subway tile sheet aligned during installation.
Trim the Narrow Edge
Trim the narrower edge of the tile sheet first. Keep the wider edge intact, because the short side of the next sheet needs to fully overlap onto it for a correct grout-line look.
Fully Overlap the Side Edge
When placing the next sheet, fully overlap it onto the wider edge of the previous sheet. The green marked area shows the edge that should be covered to create a correct and even grout-line look.
Fully Overlap Top and Bottom
When installing the next row, fully overlap the top or bottom grout-line edge. The green marked area shows the edge that should be covered, helping keep the pattern connected and the grout-line look even.
Enjoy the Finished Look
Once all sheets are aligned, fully overlapped, and pressed firmly, your subway tile backsplash is complete. Enjoy the refreshed wall.
